I haven't posted in this thread because I post just about all of my stuff in the forum on a regular basis.
I think the lack of participation is due in large part to what Brizio mentioned...he's a bit confused as to what it is for, same here.
Perhaps monthly would be a better approach and an explanation of what it's intended do....maybe even open it up to small scale, wood carving etc. (I know Rick and a few others have model interests outside models cars and the like).
Mario builds equipment and all sorts of things..I do leather carving, gunsmithing....well you get the idea.
Perhaps it could be a catch all for the things we'd like to show but have no place in the forum to put them....we have a lot of multi talented folks here at SMC, what about the artists? Original automotive cartoons or renderings...your call.
Grandpa McGurk.....Steppin' Large and Livin' easy.

Our site is no different than the others. We have over a thousand members but there's a core group of less than fifty that actually participate on the forum threads. Further to that, there's been times when we get more participation from the plane and bike guys than we do from the car guys.
Don's suggestion is interesting but may be difficult to control. We'd have to put something in place that limits participation to Sunday only. I would not want to see a quilting thread go on all week for example.
There is a "Sunday Models" thread on the H.A.M.B. that is very active, especially amongst the small scale crowd. Its not uncommon to see three to five pages every Sunday. However, if you look at it, you'll see that about one third of the posts include photos and descriptions while the other two thirds are simply comments.
Personally, I'd like to see more overall participation rather than just on Sundays.
